  • Long time!

I know that it has been a long time since I have blogged on Xanga.  I have been doing Facebook these days but I miss the blogging part.  I just wanted mostly to share some great pics of my little boy...(did you see I didn't write baby?)  He is getting so big but he will always be my baby.

June 2008 Pictures 037 We went to NYC and see how much Preston enjoyed it!

June 2008 Pictures 024 These are the girls from my corps playing Timbrels for Star Search 2008 in New Jersey.  They didn't place but they did a great job and they looked good...and most of all they did it for God.

Florida Vacation June 2008 001 We went to Florida this year in June and you see how much Preston liked Mickey..he was scared to death.

Florida Vacation June 2008 (46) He enjoyed the lego family at Downtown Disney much better.

Florida Vacation June 2008 (63) and his favorite part the music and playing the bongos at Downtown Disney...

    Florida Vacation June 2008 (64)

What a great summer we have had.  Now it is time for fall....I love the beginning of every season.  I anticipate the days to come.  Today we started our first day back to work from 2 weeks of vacation.  Our first day was spent at Camp Neosa for Leadership Councils...we continued talking about a clear leading.  I believe and pray that God will give us a clear leading in the days to come.

  • Will the snow ever go away?

I am so ready for spring.  It seems like it will never come.  I moved my office around this week...felt like a little spring cleaning (I secretly thought this might make me feel a little more like it was spring...didn't work though).  Here is a picture of our front yard for those of you who have not had much snow.  For those of you who have three times the snow we have I am so glad I don't live there.  I am tired of snow.  I have turned it into a new bad 4 letter word.

I know our house looks slanted in this picture but don't worry it is just the photographer!!!

    Till' Spring.......

  • Fun in the water

Last weekend we went to our Officer's family retreat.  It was really nice although Preston wasn't feeling so well.  We went to Castaway Bay in Sandusky.  I am glad that we got to go.  We took Preston into the water for not even an hour.  They had a little kiddi pool and he enjoyed playing in the water.  Here is a picture of him playing

I can't believe he is already 8 months old.  It seems like yesterday he was born.

  • More than just lunch

I would have to say that today was one of my most stressful days of the season.  Well should I say the most stressful morning.  I am typically the person that keeps my cool and is pretty calm and go with the flow and today I just couldn't take it anymore.  I actually just cried.  Well before you know I was offered a hug and reassured that I was doing a fine job and that things would be okay.  Oh how thankful I was for that.  I then was able to go with 2 of the ladies who help me with youth programs to pick out gifts for the kids and we also had lunch together.  It may have only been taco bell but it was one of the finest meals I have had lately.  Just sitting chatting with no baby crying, no people interupting needing things such as toilet paper or scissors or whatever the crisis at the moment may be.  I am just so glad that God helped me just to slow down and take a deep breath.  It ended up being a great day. Not that I mind taking care of my crying baby or helping people with what they need but I just needed one moment to myself.  It was such a relief.  My husband also heard that I had a crummy morning and brought me a peanut butter, hot fudge sundae from DQ (my favorite). We also were able to decorate the chapel for the Christmas musical that we are doing on Sunday with the children.  I am really excited.  Last year we didn't do one and I think it is going to be very nice on Sunday.

Thank God for special moments that we don't expect.
